Kumar Sangakkara is a retired Sri Lankan cricketer who is widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of the sport. He was born on October 27, 1977 in Matale, Sri Lanka and made his debut for the Sri Lankan national team in 2000. Sangakkara played for Sri Lanka until 2015 and was known for his stylish batting and his ability to score runs all around the ground.
